Bathroom Remodeling in Fort Lauderdale

Spa-grade primary baths and guest suites, waterproofed and finished to last decades, not seasons.

Free Consultation

A bathroom is a waterproofing project with tile on top. Everything that makes one beautiful - large-format stone, curbless entries, niches, benches, linear drains - also makes it more demanding to seal correctly. Get the assembly underneath right and it lasts decades; get it wrong and the damage shows up in the ceiling below.

We remodel primary baths, guest bathrooms and powder rooms across Fort Lauderdale, and we do not economise on the parts nobody sees.

How it works

Our process

  1. Design and selections

Layout, fixtures, tile and stone confirmed before demolition, with drainage positions resolved on paper first.

  2. Demolition and rough-in

Strip back to structure, then relocate plumbing and electrical and inspect before anything is closed up.

  3. Waterproofing

Substrate, slope, membrane and flood test - completed and verified before a single tile is set.

  4. Tile and stone

Layout dry-set so cuts and veining fall deliberately rather than wherever they land.

  5. Fit-out

Vanities, fixtures, glass, lighting and final snagging.

Options

Bathrooms we build

Primary suite

Larger layouts with separated shower and tub, double vanity and often a reconfigured footprint.

Curbless wet room

A single waterproofed zone with a linear drain - the most demanding to detail and the most striking.

Guest and powder rooms

Compact layouts where the win is storage, light and extraction that actually works.

Accessible bathrooms

Level access, grab-bar backing and turning space, designed in rather than added on.

Building in Broward

What this means in Fort Lauderdale

South Florida humidity is unforgiving in bathrooms. A room that never fully dries between uses will find any weakness in the waterproofing, and inadequate extraction shows up as mould at the ceiling line within a year. Ventilation sized to the actual room and ducted properly to outside - not into a soffit - is not an upgrade here, it is the baseline.

Older Fort Lauderdale properties bring their own issues. Cast iron waste lines and galvanised supply pipe are common in mid-century housing stock, and both are worth replacing while the walls are already open rather than revisiting later. Concrete block construction also affects how services are chased and how fixings are made, which is straightforward when it is planned for and expensive when it is not.

Questions

Frequently asked

Can you build a curbless shower?

Yes. Curbless entries need the slope and drainage designed into the floor structure, and on a concrete slab that may mean recessing the pour or using a linear drain. It is very doable when planned from the start.

How do you guarantee it will not leak?

By treating waterproofing as its own stage rather than a step within tiling: correct substrate, correct slope, a tested membrane assembly installed to the manufacturer's specification, and a flood test before tile goes down.

Do you replace old plumbing at the same time?

We recommend it. If the walls are already open and the supply or waste lines are original cast iron or galvanised pipe, replacing them now costs a fraction of doing it later through finished tile.
